Our Aim

The primary aim of the Association is to provide a level of care for, amongst others, the elderly, frail and disabled in Teesdale who are considered to be geographically or socially isolated so that, with the assistance of the Association, they may continue to lead independent lives in their own homes.

Welcome to the web site of the Association of Teesdale Day Clubs.

The Teesdale Day Clubs provide support to mostly, but not exclusively, elderly residents in Teesdale villages to combat isolation, improve health & wellbeing, and to provide a source of information and support.

Meetings take place at the following venues: -

  • Cotherstone Village Hall every Wednesday from 11:00am to 2:00pm.
  • Mickleton Village Hall every Thursday from 11:30am to 2:00pm.
  • Scarth Hall, Staindrop every Tuesday from 11:30am to 2:00pm.
  • Masonic Hall, Middleton-in-Teesdale every Wednesday except the third one in the month from 11:30am to 2:00pm.
  • Winston Village Hall on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month from 11:30am to 2:00pm.
  • Stainton Grove every Tuesday from 11:30am to 2:00pm.
  • Methodist Hall, Barnard Castle every Tuesday from 11:00am to 2:00pm.
  • Gainford Village Hall every Monday 11:30am to 2:00pm.
  • Woodland Village Hall every Monday 11.30 am to 2.00 pm.
  • Evenwood Randolph Centre every Friday 11.30 am to 2.00 pm.

Costs and Charges

Members pay £4.00 for a 3 course lunch cooked on the premises

Special Provision

Transport can usually be arranged.

Accessible Premises

All of the premises used have wheelchair access, either level or ramps.

Office Hours

The Administration Office is normally open Monday to Thursday, from 9:00am to 1:00pm.
